Our Carob Flour

Carob flour is a perfect substitute for cocoa in any recipe.  It makes a great hot drink when mixed with milk and can be served as a breakfast or snack as it’s sweet by nature and contains zero fat.  It can also be used as a natural sweetener and satisfies your appetite, aiding the process of weight loss.

Carob flour is considered a superfood as it’s rich in minerals and vitamins and contains a great number of natural components, one of which is D-pinitol, a natural substance from the inositol family which, according to scientific studies by the American National Cancer Institute, has a powerful preventive effect against breast and prostate cancer, amongst other health benefits.

Carob comes from the Carob tree and is typically found in the Mediterranean.  Iconic of the Mediterranean culture, it’s a robust, resistant tree that hardly needs any water to produce fruits whilst having one of the best CO2 retention capacities, second to the pine tree.
